Let’s get started
Are Human Biscuits Good For Cats?
The answer to this is a very small amount and only rarely!
This is the answer for a variety of reasons.
The biggest reason that human biscuit is unhealthy for cats to eat except a tiny piece as a treat very rarely.
The ingredients in biscuits include flour, which is not a problem for cats to consume, but the salt that many also contain, definitely is a problem for cats.
Human biscuits also contain a high level of sugar which is not ideal either.
The main problem ingredients in human biscuits are the butter and milk as these are both dairy ingredients and not at all suitable for cats.
After they are weaned, cats become milk intolerant.
Dairy products contain lactose which a form of sugar that cats find really hard to digest.
Cats usually suffer from upset stomachs when they consume milk products.
All in all, a tiny piece of plain biscuit, given very rarely, will not harm your cat, but any more, definitely will.
Ideally you shouldn’t give your cat biscuit
It’s not healthy for them
Yes rarely but if you could, then best not to
The best thing you could do is give your cat treats that are made for them
Can Cats Eat Chocolate Biscuits?
The big ‘No No’ is to feed your cat a piece of human chocolate biscuit.
While chocolate can be enjoyed by humans, it is in fact, very toxic to cats.
Chocolate contains both theobromine and caffeine.
Both of these can cause severe health problems to your cat, including rapid heart beat, increased body temperature, heart problems and seizures.
In extreme cases, cats can suffer from heart failure.
As you can see, NEVER give your cat chocolate biscuit
Not even a tiny amount
