Does Your Cat Need a Litter Tray At Night?

In short the answer is yes

Otherwise be prepared to clean up cat pee and cat poop when you wake up in the morning

I’m sure that’s not even the last thing you want!

Especially if your cat is a indoor cat

They will need to use the litter box at some point during the night

There is no point taking a risk and not keeping a litter box at night

Make sure the litter box is clean and ready to use

Your cat will not use the litter box if it is dirty just as how we wouldn’t use the washroom if it was filthy

Cleaning the litter box everyday is difficult

It can be tiring and I understand

You come back from a long days work

And now you have to clean the litter box

That worry will be gone completely

You can come home and relax now

What If My Cat Does Not Use The Litter Box?

This can be common when a cat does not use the litter box

There can be many reasons for this

The first thing you should do is take your cat to the vets to make sure it’s not UTI as I mentioned in the article

(If you use Pretty Litter, you’d know straight away what the problem is)

If it’s nothing medical then you need to look at other reasons why your cat is not using the litter box

I won’t go into much detail here because I actually have a article about this which you can check out by clicking the link below

So does your cat need a litter box at night?

The answer is yes

Especially if your cat stays indoors

If you don’t have a litter box then where will your cat to do their business

Keeping a litter box at night will ensure your cat does not leave you a nasty surprise on your expensive carpet!

You just have to make sure the litter box is clean and fresh ready for your cat to use if they need to use it during the night

It would be better if you have a extra litter box if you have one cat

One upstairs and one downstairs so it just makes it easier for your cat to access it

If your cat is upstairs and the litter box is downstairs and your cat needs to use it and they can’t hold then be ready for a puddle of urine somewhere upstairs!

But if you have one upstairs then it’s easy accessible for your cat to use

It just saves you from any accidents you may have to clean it up!
